This weekend was held LHF Cup Men and Women indoor hockey tournament, dedicated to LHF commemoration of 25 years anniversary in Panevezys. Also with those competitions was opened an indoor season.

Surprizes from Vilnius "Zuvedra" HC young players

"Panevezys" HC won all men competitions as was planed without any rivals. But nobody thought that second place could belong to young players from Vilnius "Zuvedra" HC. In the semifinal games players from Panevezys demolished Vilnius "Rudamina - Ardas" HC (15:1) while "Zuvedra" HC suddenly won the match against Kedainiai "Nevezis" HC after hard fights (3:2).

In the final match "Panevezys" HC improved that nobody can look like they do at the present. They even scored 23 goals and missed 2 goals playing with "Zuvedra" HC. "Nevezis" HC won against "Rudamina - Ardas" HC after emotional fight for the 3rd place (5:4).

HFTC took the 3rd place just after "bleeding"

Women competitions were held in two groups. Acknowledged Siauliai "Gintra - Universitetas" HC, Vilnius HFTC, Siauliai "Siauliai" HC and national U-21 team preparing for the European championship were in the group A. By the way national U-21 team is titled as a winner of European championship.

The participating of national team settled that HFTC could not demonstrate real capacity because they lent 6 players to national team. They could not win even one game in their group. National U-21 team won 2:1 against HFTC, 5:4 against "Siauliai" HC and played draw with "Gintra - Universitetas" HC 3:3.

Unfortunately in the match for the 1st place youth players lost the game to "Gintra - Universitetas" HC (1:7). There was an equal game but players from Siauliai showed better performance while using small corners. As well they demonstrated that youth still has much to learn.

HFTC became straight in the match for the 3rd place with "Siauliai" HC (7:2).

Players from Siauliai lose positions

The performance of Siauliai "Klevas" HC was bad, not expected in the group B. So that in the final games has met Sirvintos "Inta-1" HC and Kelmes "Berkutas" HC. Players from Sirvintos were stronger (5:1). Suddenly for the 3rd place had to fight girls from Vilnius "Zuvedra" HC with Siauliai "Klevas SM-1" HC. The game was under "Klevas SM-1" HC control (5:1). "Klevas SM-2" HC won against "Inta-2" HC just after 7 meters penalty kicks in the match for the 5th place.
The results can be called natural phenomenon in the group B. For instance, Sirvintos already has in a new way arranged pavement in their hall. So those players can become perfect fast. And athletes from Siauliai can only once a week practice. Because of this fact they stood in the shadow of other athletes.

Awards

The best players were honored after tournament. They got special jubilee presents. All games prizewinners were awarded by beautiful Cup. "Gintra - Universitetas" HC received cosmetics production presented by "Cliven" the sponsor of women hockey.
